Who made what you hear.

01 · Music

The signature tune, the case themes, their tension layers and the verdict stings were written and rendered for Crimefloor, note by note, from single recorded notes and sounds synthesised in our own code (drones, bass, tanpura, drums, reverb). No existing melody is quoted, and no AI music service or stock loop was used.

  • Orchestral samples: VSCO 2 Community Edition by Versilian Studios, recorded by Sam Gossner and Simon Dalzell (CC0 1.0).
  • Upright piano: sampled by Simon Dalzell of Ivy Audio, redistributed by Versilian Studios.
  • Rain, under the cases set in rain, monsoon or storm: “Light Rain Distant Thunder July 5th 2016” by kvgarlic on Freesound (CC0 1.0).

02 · Sound effects

The interface sounds (paper, pins, stamps, the siren) are synthesised in your browser by our own code. No recordings.

03 · Turning it off

The speaker turns all sound off (in the header, or in a case's notebook on a phone). On a computer, the sound settings beside it switch the music alone off or turn it down. Your choice is remembered on this device.
